Privacy Policy
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Wanuva collects, uses, stores, and shares personal data when you use the service.
Wanuva is designed to transform user-submitted video URLs into transcripts and structured AI-assisted outputs. Because the service processes content you submit, privacy and data handling are central to how Wanuva operates.

5. Media Handling
Wanuva may temporarily download or extract media necessary to process submitted content, such as audio used for transcription. Wanuva does not intend to permanently store original video files as part of normal product operation.
However, Wanuva may store URLs, metadata, thumbnails, transcripts, AI-generated outputs, and related processing records. This stored data supports later access, caching, and product functionality.
6. AI Processing and Third-Party Providers
Wanuva uses third-party AI and infrastructure providers to operate the service, including for transcription and generation of summaries and structured insights.
This means that submitted content, transcripts, and related processing data may be sent to third-party providers such as OpenAI or other vendors used to provide the service.
We use these providers to:
- transcribe audio
- generate structured outputs
- improve reliability and service quality
- operate infrastructure, authentication, storage, and billing
7. Shared Analysis Layer
Wanuva may cache and reuse outputs across users when the same underlying content has already been processed. This means that transcripts, structured outputs, and related analysis results may be stored in a shared service layer rather than isolated per user in every case.
User-specific data such as account data, notes, preferences, and subscription state remain tied to the relevant user account.
8. Legal Bases for Processing
Where GDPR applies, we generally rely on contract to provide the service you request, legitimate interests to secure, maintain, improve, and defend the service, legal obligation where we must comply with applicable law, and consent where required for certain cookies or optional communications.
9. Data Sharing
We may share data with:
- hosting and infrastructure providers
- Supabase for authentication, database, and storage
- AI providers for transcription and analysis
- payment providers such as Stripe
- analytics, monitoring, and abuse-prevention providers where used
- legal authorities or counterparties where required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, or the service
We do not sell personal data in the ordinary meaning of that term.
10. Data Retention
We retain data for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain account history and library functionality, enforce limits, billing, and security controls, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data. Account and subscription records may be retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward. Transcripts and structured outputs may be retained to support your library, shared analysis reuse, service integrity, and product improvement. Logs and security records may be retained for operational and abuse-prevention purposes.
11. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Wanuva uses cookies and similar technologies for authentication and session continuity, security, basic service functionality, and performance and operational monitoring.
If analytics or non-essential tracking is added, Wanuva should provide any additional disclosures or consent flows required by law.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data. These measures may include access controls, authentication safeguards, infrastructure security, and provider-level protections.
No system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Your Rights
If GDPR or similar laws apply to you, you may have rights including access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion of data in certain circumstances, restriction of processing, objection to certain processing, data portability, withdrawal of consent where consent is the legal basis, and complaint to a supervisory authority.
Some rights are subject to legal exceptions and operational constraints, including where data is required for security, billing, or shared service integrity.
14. International Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including by service providers operating internationally. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
15. Children
Wanuva is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law to use the service independently.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice where appropriate.
